I am a Computer Scientist and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. After a long career in high tech Research and Development at leading Silicon Valley companies, I studied financial planning and have worked in the field professionally since 2005.  I support select private clients with their financial responsibilities. As a CFP® I have a fiduciary responsibility to my clients, unlike brokers, dealers and other financial professionals. As an independent Financial Planner, I work only for the client, and I do what is best for them, without consideration for a financial company's bottom line. My advice is based on academic and scientific research, not marketing research.

Acorn Financial Planning is a Registered Investment Advisor with the State of California. AcornFP is organized as a Sole Proprietorship under the laws of the State of California. AcornFP was founded in July 2013 and is owned and operated by Amy Pearl.
